This is my foster pup, Loki, from Saving Grace Animal Society. His cast is very heavy so I have to carry him for majority of our walks.

He presented to the clinic because he hurt his leg. We took some xrays and he has a fracture of his left left leg. As you can see on the radiographs, he has a closed, oblique, complete minimally displaced, mid diaphyseal fracture of his left tibia. There is also a incomplete communicating fracture that directs proximally. Surgical correction via internal fixation (plates and pins) would be the gold standard treatment for the best return to function. This is a rescue pup and finances are limited so we casted his little leg. Because he is so young, his fracture will heal very quickly! Hopefully, the cast will be off in 3-4 weeks and he will be up for adoption!
